Dance classes are just the beginning at ADC. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community where students and families become lifelong friends. From performances to pizza parties, there's plenty of opportunities to get involved. Hover over the images below to find out more!
EXAMS & PERFORMANCE AWARDS
Exams and Performance Awards provide an opportunity for dancers to attain a physical achievement upon completing a grade. Our examinations are recognised by the countries largest examining bodies - The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the Royal Academy of Dance, and students take extra coaching classes in order to prepare them to the best of their ability.
HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
Our popular holiday workshops are a great way of keeping active during the holidays with the added bonus of making new friends and having fun! We combine crafts, games and activities as well as dancing to provide hours of entertainment for your children so you don’t have to!
BI-ANNUAL SHOWS
Our whole school are invited to take part in our bi-annual shows held locally at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre. Shows are one of the highlights of the season, and pupils will often talk about their show memories for generations afterwards!
SUMMER SCHOOL
During our last Summer School, students spent a week preparing the popular musical Annie Jr. Those who attended not only finished the week with a fully staged show, but were also involved with the costume and set design of the production!
FESTIVALS
Dance festivals, otherwise known as dance competitions are a wonderful way of getting more performance experience. They’re completely optional, and students who enter are supported unconditionally by their teachers through private tuition.
OUTSIDE PERFORMANCES
Some classes are involved in numerous optional performances throughout the year including INNOVATE (a contemporary dance platform), WOKING SLAM (Hip Hop dance Show) and Woking Party in the Park. Our dancers have also previously performed at local fairs and school fetes, which are wonderful opportunities to share our love of dance with the local community.
ADULT CLASSES

Didn’t we say we think dance is for everyone? Our adult Ballet and tap classes are catered for beginners just discovering their love of dance as well as those rekindling the passion of their past! Whether it’s fitness fun you’re looking for, or friends with a common interest, our adult classes are for you!
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Our popular Christmas party is an opportunity for students from all branches to come celebrate together. Each year our younger dancers take part in dance workshops prior to the disco and perform a short festive showcase. Our dance families and friends are invited to celebrate with us, and each year brings more fun!
